Hoover’s restaurants that list outdoor seating on their own sites are spread out: one at The Grove shopping center off Alabama 150, two on the Riverchase Galleria side of the city, on Chace Circle and John Hawkins Parkway, and one at Inverness Corners on U.S. 280.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Hoover’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. A place is on this page only if its own site says it has a patio or outdoor seating. We added Farrelly’s, Five Guys, Johnny Brusco’s and Mellow Mushroom because their sites say so. We left out Baha Burger and Pazzo! Big Slice Pizza, which OpenStreetMap marks as having outdoor seating but whose own sites do not mention it, Fried Green Tomato’s, whose site did not load for us, and Brock’s at the Renaissance Ross Bridge resort, whose dining page did not load. Farrelly’s Southern Bar & Kitchen at The Grove serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, with a happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Its reservation page offers the dining room, the outside patio or the bar area, and it has a private room for parties and rehearsal dinners. Its site recommends booking ahead.

Five Guys on Chace Circle, near the Riverchase Galleria, is a location of the burger and fries chain. Its location page lists outdoor seating along with dine-in, takeout and delivery.

Johnny Brusco’s New York Style Pizza on John Hawkins Parkway lists outdoor seating, beer and wine, catering and high chairs on its page. It has been in Hoover since 2013. Its page shows two different sets of hours, so call before you go.

Mellow Mushroom Inverness is in the Inverness shopping center at Valleydale Road and U.S. 280. Its page lists a patio and a private room, and the restaurant bakes its pizzas on stone.
